Cosmo is my beautiful rainbow lorikeet. We've had Cosmo since 22-Oct-2005. She was given to me in replacement for Squirt which was also a rainbow lorikeet. Squirt very mysteriously dissapeared one day when his door was open for only a few seconds for feeding time. His wings were always trimmed, however he couldn't fly very well anyway. We were very upset, and we still are to this day. Despite the fact we plastered missing posters EVERYWHERE with a reward, and asked everywhere, Squirty is still missing. We miss Squirt alot, we still pray for his return and hope his alive, happy and safe. Even though Cosmo is a wonderful bird, Squirt was one of a kind. We loved you Squirt xxx Back to happy thoughts about Cosmo... When I got Cosmo she was still only a baby on her baby food. She's turned out to be a character that makes us laugh and smile all the time. She loves to play tackles, chase after her toy balls, and jump around all over the place (literally). She mimics noises so well, but makes those noises exaggerated. She's always on the move, so trying to take photo's of her isn't easy! But due to lorikeets diet, it's like us on red cordial all day! She has to be fed nectar, pollen, and fruits. ALL SUGAR! Just about everyday she has herself a bath in her bathing container at the bottom of her cage. |
